A squad of Argentine athletes is appointed for the South American Championship in San Pablo

Forty-seven Argentine athletes were chosen, according to the marks achieved, to participate in the South American Athletics Championships in Brazil, which will take place in the city of São Paulo, between July 28 and 30.

The experienced pole vaulter from Santa Fe Germán Chiaraviglio and the sprinter Franco Florio stand out among the men, while the middle and long-distance runners Florencia and Mariana Borelli plus Fedra Luna do so among the women.

This South American event to be held at the Olympic Center stadium in São Paulo will allow athletes to improve their position in the Pan American ranking.

And the area champions may be admitted to the World Cup in Budapest, to be held next August.

The athletes available for the tournament are the women Florencia Lamboglia (she will participate in 100 meters, 200 meters, 4×100 and 4×400); María Victoria Woodward (100, 200, 4×100 and 4×400); Bethlehem Fritzsche (posts 4×100); Sofia Casetta (posts 4×100); Camila Roffo (mixed 4×400 posts; 4×400; 4×100); Noelia Martínez (mixed 4×400 posts; 4×400); Andrea Escudero (800 meters and 4×400)

Evangelina Thomas (800 and post 4×400); Fedra Luna (1500 and 5000 meters); Mariana Borelli (1500); Florence Borelli (5000); Daiana Ocampo (10,000 meters); Marcela Gomez (10,000); Carolina Lozano (3000 meters with obstacles)

Clara Baiocchi (3000 meters with obstacles); Luciana Gómez Iriondo (pole vault), Ailén Armada (shot put and discus); Daniela Gómez (hammer throw).

Among the men will be Franco Florio (100 meters, 4×100); Daniel Londero (100, 4×100); Juan Ciampitti (200, 4×100); Diamond Baptist (200, 4×100); Elián Larregina (400, 4×400), Matías Falchetti (4×400, 4×400 mixed, 4×100)
