Joselu was second to last in La Liga with Espanyol last season and was relegated. As confirmed by Real Madrid on Monday, the 33-year-old is on loan from the Catalans with an option to buy.
Joselu is no stranger to David Alaba’s club, having already scored for the “Royal” between 2010 and 2012. However, he did that primarily for the second team of the Madrilenians. Yesterday he won the Nations League title with Spain.
According to media statements by Real President Florentino Perez, the club’s purchasing program has ended after Joselu and Jude Bellingham.
