The announcement on Monday afternoon that Mark Grosse was moving to SV Ried came as no surprise. The OÖN already reported on Friday that the transfer is about to be completed. Now it’s official: the 24-year-old striker, who last went into goal for Kapfenberg in the second division, has signed a contract in Ried until the summer of 2025. “Mark Grosse proved last season that he is a very dangerous and strong player. Even with standards, he always causes danger. He has a very good left foot and will bring creativity to our game,” says SVR Sport Director Wolfgang Fiala.
“The club is really great. The talks were good right from the start and I was convinced from the start that it was the right decision. The fans and the environment are everything here,” says Grosse. He can identify with the two-year plan of Rieder very “completely. I now have the big goal of moving up to the Bundesliga together with Ried.”
