Austria’s national soccer team has come a big step closer to participating in the European Championship. The ÖFB selection celebrated a deserved 2-0 (0-0) victory over Sweden in front of 46,300 spectators in Vienna’s Happel Stadium on Tuesday and thus continues to lead qualifying group F, three points ahead of Belgium. The third-placed Scandinavians are already seven points behind with one match less. Match winner was Christoph Baumgartner with a brace (81st, 89th).
