The ice hockey schedule for the 2023/24 season is set: The Steinbach Black Wings will meet Laibach away in the first round on Friday, September 15th. The home game kicks off in the Linz AG Eisarena on September 17th with the traditional duel against Villach. Afterwards, the Linzers will continue to play in a balanced away/home rhythm until mid-October. The December camp of the Austrian national team was newly considered by those responsible for the league this year. In addition to the usual interruption in November, the championship will also be paused before the intense Christmas season.

With the two home games against Fehervar AV19 (December 22nd) and Innsbruck (December 26th), the EHC is spending the festive season with its loyal supporters in the Linz AG Eisarena. All in all, the Steinbach Black Wings go on the ice seven times within 16 days during the Christmas holidays.

The regular season finally ends for the Upper Austrians on Friday, February 23, 2024, with a home game against Laibach. In the subsequent pre-playoffs, the teams in seventh to tenth place in the table will fight for entry into the quarter-finals against the teams in the top six after the regular season.

The Steinbach Black Wings will be testing new face-off times in some Sunday games this season. In a total of four games, the Upper Austrians go on the ice in the afternoon to create even more family-friendly conditions.
