Djokovic defeated Medvedev and wins the Paris Masters for the sixth time

Medvedev was overwhelmed in the third set and gave up the match on the first match point to his rival, who thus took revenge two months after the Russian denied him his 21st Grand Slam crown at Flushing Meadows.

The Serbian had advanced to the final after beating up Polish ascendant Hubert Hurkacz on Saturday, guaranteeing him to finish the season No. 1 for the seventh time in his career, beating the record he shared with American Pete Sampras.

Medvedev, champion last year at Paris-Bercy, the last Masters 1000 of the year, reached today’s definition after eliminating German Alexander Zverev in a match that was a reissue of the 2020 final.

The Paris Masters 1000, played on indoor fast courts and won by Argentine David Nalbandian in 2007, has Djokovic as the top champion for his titles in 2009, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2019 and 2021.
