The Argentina taekwondo team songahm became world champion in the sparring category -fighting modality- in the tournament that took place in Phoenix, Arizona, United States.
The team led by the senior Master from Chaco Augustine Spiess beat the team USA to win the gold medal for the first time in history.
“This achievement is unprecedented and historic for Argentine taekwondo, since it had never been possible before”expressed Mauro Echazarretaone of the 12 champions, in dialogue with The Voice of Chaco.
Also, in the contest, the members of the team took the exam to improve their Danish classification.
