The staff of “The Yaguaretés “ is headed by the head coach Tomás Bongiorno, and Gisela Acuña was appointed as coach, becoming the first coach in the history of the national teams.

Acuna, a pioneer of women’s rugby in our country, formed rugby in the Club Cha Roga, from Saint tome (Santa Fe), and had an outstanding career in the highest Argentine representative, of which she became the captain, and later began her career as a coach.

This competition on Uruguayan soil (it will be held on the Carrasco Polo Club fields) provides two places for the South Africa Sevens World Cup 2022, and the teams will be divided into the following two zones:

Group A: Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Costa Rica and Guatemala.

B Group: Paraguay, Colombia, Chile, Peru and Panama.
