Cachin advances firmly in Gstaad and has already achieved the best result of his career

The Cordovan defeated the Spanish Munar 6-3 and 6-3 and got into the semis of the Swiss tournament, where he will face the Serbian Medkedovic. He had never gone this far in an ATP tournament.

The Argentinian Pedro Cachin (90th in the world) qualified for the semifinals in the ATP 250 of gstaad (Switzerland), where the other South American in competition this Friday, the Peruvian Juan Pablo Varillas (66th), was eliminated in the quarterfinals.

Varillas was surpassed by the Spanish Albert Ramos (79th), who won 6-7 (2), 6-1 and 6-4. In the semis, the Catalan player will face the Serbian Miomir Kecmanovic (44th).

In the other part of the draw, Cachin defeated the Spanish Jaume Munar (110th) by a double 6-3 and reached the semifinals of an ATP tournament for the first time in his career. On the eve, the Argentine player had knocked down another Spaniard, the first seed Roberto Bautista (25th).

Cachín will face another Serbian player, Hamad Medkedovic (183rd), in the semifinals.
