“We are close to an agreement. The player wants to go to Vasco, he admires the club and Ramón Díaz. There were three sales options but Michael Santos prefers Vasco,” the president of the Cordovan club Andrés Fassi told Globo Esporte.

At first, Vasco wanted a loan from the striker and Talleres wants to sell him. Finally, the Rio de Janeiro club received 5,000,000 dollars from the sale of Pedro Raúl to Toluca in Mexico and with that money they will be able to acquire the 30-year-old Uruguayan striker.
Vasco wanted another Uruguayan, Abel Hernández, from Peñarol de Montevideo, but the River Plate club will not let the striker go in the current transfer market.
In the present Professional League, Santos scored 13 goals in 24 games. He started at River Plate, in Uruguay, and had a stint in Malaga and Leganés in Spain, arriving at Talleres in 2021.
