Adjusted victory of England against Haiti by 1 to 0 in the Women’s World Cup

The England team, current European champion, debuted today with a narrow victory against Haiti by 1-0, in a match of Group D of the Women’s World Cup that is taking place in New Zealand and Australia.

The game was played at the Brisbane Stadium, in Australia, and the only goal was converted by Georgia Stanway (24 years old, a German Bayer Munich player) after 29 minutes with a penalty kick.

In the first execution, the Caribbean goalkeeper Kerly Theus deflected Stanway’s shot, but at the decision of the VAR the action was reviewed and the English repeated the shot and established the 1-0.

At 9 in Argentina, the opening date of Group D will be completed with the match between Denmark and China to take place in the Australian city of Perth.
