The Argentina women’s Under 21 volleyball team defeated their Canadian counterpart 3-0 on Friday night and reached the semifinals of the U’23 Pan American Cup that is being played in the city of Hermosillo, Mexico.
The albiceleste representative led by DT Martín Ambrosini prevailed with the following progression: 25-19, 25-18 and 25-18.
Sunchalense Milena Margaría was the top scorer, with 11 goals, followed by Avril García from Linque, who contributed 10 points for Las Panteritas.
In this way, the Argentine team will meet today, starting at 10:00 p.m., with their counterpart from the Dominican Republic, in one of the semifinals of the competition.
The Dominican cast defeated Cuba in straight sets, with partials of 25-20, 25-16 and 25-23, to win qualifying group A.
