Friedrich confidently won her two semifinals against the New Zealand keirin world champion Ellesse Andrews. In the final, Friedrich now meets the British Emma Finucane, who also prevailed against Hinze in two runs.
After gold in the team sprint and two bronze medals in the 500-meter time trial and in the keirin, Friedrich now has her fourth medal in the title fights in Scotland.
