You can vote for the best player of the year 2021 in the GOAL 50 voting until November 16. While the men are currently in a close race for the crown, the women from FC Barcelona dominate.
Since November 2nd, GOAL50 has been looking for the best on the planet.
Three days before the end of the voting, the men compete head-to-head for the coveted title. With a look at the current interim results, anything is still possible. You can therefore still influence a lot with your voice!
Robert Lewandowski, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are among the favorites to win. Especially the Bayern striker – as of now – surprisingly prevailed against local heroes in some countries.
Lewandowski leads in England, with which he puts ManUnited strikers Ronaldo and Phil Foden (the best Englishman) in their place, and Italy. In the country of the European champions, Jorginho is currently only fifth. The Pole is also at the top in Germany. The best DFB player is Joshua Kimmich who is currently eighth.
GOAL50: Ronaldo currently ahead of Messi
Although Ronaldo currently does not lead in any of the top 5 leagues, he is slightly ahead in direct comparison with his eternal rival Messi. 50.4 percent voted for the Portuguese.
For women, several players from FC Barcelona lead the ranking. Here, too, it has not yet been decided who will win the award in the end.
In Germany, Bayern’s Sydney Lohmann tops the list just ahead of Barca star Alexia Putellas, who, along with her teammate Caroline Graham Hansen, is one of the favorites to win.
