The Abha club, which participates in the Saudi Arabian First Division Pro League, signed Argentine defender Fabián Noguera in the last few hours.

The Arab entity agreed a link with the 30-year-old central defender until June 2025, according to the specialized site ‘Mercadosphera’.

Noguera, former player of Estudiantes de La Plata and last spell at Nacional de Montevideo, arrived at the Asian institution, after a payment of 275,000 euros to the Uruguayan club, as compensation for contract interruption.

Abha, who has Ecuadorian striker Felipe Caicedo (ex-Lazio and Inter Italy) in his ranks and Polish Czeslaw Michniewicz as DT (he was in charge of his country’s team in the Qatar 2022 World Cup), will play this Monday against Al Hilal, for the first date of the tournament.

Meanwhile, in one of the previews of the opening day, Brazilian striker Roberto Firmino (ex-English Liverpool) scored three goals for Al Ahli, who beat Al Hazm 3-1, in the city of Jeddah.
