“I wouldn’t want to say that 100 million is the new normal. That’s an enormous amount for us,” said Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen as part of Harry Kane’s official presentation one day after Kane’s first use in the defeat in the Supercup against RB Leipzig (0:3).
“A reasonable amount”
“As you know, the DNA of our club has always been that of course we invest heavily when we are convinced of something, but only to the extent that we believe we can afford,” said the former CFO and found: “I think I can assess it quite well that it was a reasonable amount that we spent for what we are sportingly convinced of.”
After tough transfer poker, Kane switched from Tottenham Hotspur to Munich for more than 100 million euros. Dreesen did not want to comment on a specific sum.
