Goalkeeper Alexander Nübel is satisfied with his loan to Monaco and cites a condition for his Bayern return.
Goalkeeper Alexander Nübel, who is currently on loan from FC Bayern Munich to AS Monaco, spoke to the kicker called a clear condition.
“What I can no longer imagine is coming back and not getting any more games,” affirmed the 25-year-old, who can imagine “several models” without being specific.
Nübel under contract with FC Bayern until 2025
The loan deal between Bayern and Monaco will run until 2023, although an early return is not an issue, according to Nübel. “I don’t see anything else and neither do FC Bayern,” he said.
After moving from Schalke to Bayern in summer 2020, Nübel couldn’t get past regular goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, whose contract in the Isar metropolis is currently also dated until 2023.
Nübel therefore described the step of loaning yourself to the Ligue 1 club and gaining more match practice as “the right decision. I play at a high level twice a week, that was my goal.”
Nevertheless, the goalkeeper still sees room for improvement in terms of his personal performance. “The statistics could look better, but I’m not dissatisfied,” he said.
Nübel’s contract with FC Bayern runs until 2025.
