Motorcycling tragedy: 22-year-old rider dies in Indonesia

A young Japanese motorcyclist has died after an accident he suffered in a race in Indonesia. He was hospitalized for a few days, but could not survive the injuries.

Japanese motorcycle racer Haruki Noguchi died as a result of his injuries sustained in an accident in Indonesiaannounced the organization of Asian Road Racing Championship Thursday.

“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Haruki Noguchi after three days in intensive care” in the hospital of mataramon the island of Lombok (south), declared the International Motorcycling Federation in a statement on Thursday.

The 22-year-old Japanese, who was running for Honda SDG Racingwas involved last weekend in an accident during the race that took place at the circuit of Mandalika International Street and that it was interrupted.

“Haruki started riding a motorcycle at the age of 5, and it has given us a lot of happiness and pleasure”explained his parents in a statement about their son, who was one of the favorites to win the Asian Road Championship this year.
