The sisters Ana Roxana and Adriana Lehaci (KRV Schnecke Linz) qualified over 200 meters as third in the heats behind Hungary and Australia directly for the final on Friday. In the Para category, Markus “Mendy” Swoboda from Altenberg made it to the semi-finals as third in the preliminary heat over 200 meters. His Schnecke club colleague Manfred Pallinger took fourth place in his canoe one-man heat over 500 meters and is therefore also in the semi-finals. The 22-year-old Viennese Timon Maurer started his first World Championships in the general class in the canoe singles with a preliminary victory over 500 meters. He is also in the semifinals.
