Last season, Keito Nakamura made the difference in many games in favor of LASK. At his new club Reims, the Japanese came on as a substitute at the start of the French Ligue 1 season against Marseille (1-2), in his home debut against Clermont he was in the starting XI for the first time – and celebrated his first win. “Of course I would have liked to have scored a goal or provided an assist, but the most important thing is that we win,” the 23-year-old said in an interview with L’Union after the 2-0 win.
Nakamura feels comfortable in Reims. “I like the city. It’s neither too big nor too small. It’s a beautiful place to live.” He still has to get used to the French league. “I’ll need a few more games to perform as well as possible for the team. The competition is tough, and not just in my position. That’s good for the team – and for me too.”
