Bundesliga transfers: Sturm coach Ilzer “longs for the end of the transfer period”

Emanuel Emegha has sold Sturm Graz, Alexander Prass could follow as another valuable regular player. “As a coach, I wish for continuity. Of course, it opens up holes when a permanent member of the team leaves the club that you can’t catch in a second. But on the other hand, it opens up new potential that needs to be integrated as quickly as possible,” said coach Christian Ilzer asked about a possible exit.

The 22-year-old ÖFB team player has long been associated with a transfer. The transfer window closes on September 1st. “I long for the end of the transfer period,” explained Ilzer. What is fixed is that the injury to neo-striker Seedy Jatta, who suffered fractures of three transverse processes in his left lumbar vertebrae on his Bundesliga debut, is not responded to with a transfer. Mohammed Fuseini will not be released now. “He will now stay with us and get enough match practice,” announced the Styrian.

In the best-case scenario, Jatta should make his comeback in the fall. “The bones will heal in four to six weeks. But he’s a very dynamic player, it’s difficult to predict when he’ll be able to fully use his movement again,” explained Ilzer.

Jakob Jantscher will probably no longer be seen in Grazer’s dress. The veteran is about to move to Hong Kong. “It’s not my job to announce information, that will be done by the club,” he said Ilzer.

Tirol signed a talented striker

Tirol have signed Malian striker Mahamdou Diarra but have not revealed any further transfer details. The 19-year-old, who comes from Stade Malien in Mali, was at the trial training session in Tyrol at the end of June and impressed. Coach Thomas Silberberger described Diarra as a “diamond in the rough” who will “certainly become a very good striker” after a reasonable adjustment period.

Diarra is the ninth player from Mali in the Bundesliga. The West African country thus has the second largest contingent of legionnaires after Germany and together with Serbia.
