With the 1-1 away win in the derby against Vöcklamarkt, the players from the regional football league team LASK Amateure were able to record at least a small sense of achievement. There was bad news even before the game: striker Marco Siverio Toro, top scorer in the third division last season with 23 goals, said goodbye to the Black and Whites and joined second division team Amstetten. “It was of course surprising that the change took place so shortly before the transfer time,” says LASK trainer Patrick Enengl.
It is now even more difficult for the third division runners-up from last season to play a role that is as good as last season. Enengl is not worried: “I can assess our situation well, we have rejuvenated the team in the summer. And we will also replace Marco internally.” Enengl is even proud of the departure: “It was the seventh player this summer who made it to the top. That also means that we did a good job in the pre-season.”
The next sense of achievement was that of Forward Steyr with a 2-1 win over the Rieder Junge Vikings. Ech Cheikh (43rd) and Daniel Bilic (81st) scored for the relegated team, with whom Oliver Filip signed a new contract before the game after remaining without a club after being relegated from the second division, but with the Steyrers trained. In the OÖLiga, Weißkirchen won against St. Martin 2:1, Mondsee and Micheldorf parted 1:1.
