Real Madrid sign U19 captain Jaume Jardi from FC Barcelona

No player has moved from Barca to Real Madrid in eight years. Now one of the greatest talents goes to the arch-rival.

Spain’s runner-up Real Madrid struck arch rivals FC Barcelona and signed talent Jaume Jardi (19) on a free transfer. The U19 captain’s contract with Barca had expired and negotiations for an extension were unsuccessful.

Spanish media unanimously report a move to the capital, the Sport and the Sports world also published pictures of Jardis on the real estate.

Real Madrid: Jaume Jardi has played for FC Barcelona since 2016

In Madrid, the teenager is initially scheduled for the Castilla, trained by Raul, in the Spanish third division. The right winger, who can also be used on the left attacking side, has so far completed an assignment for the Spanish U20 national team.

Last season he played six Youth League games for Barcelona and scored one goal. In 2016 he moved from CF Reus Deportiu to the Catalans.

Transfers between Barcelona and Real Madrid are always spicy, as the two top clubs maintain a great rivalry. The latter senior junior player, who moved directly from Blaugrana to Los Blancos, was today’s Watford defender Kiko Femenia in 2013.
