New season, new cars for the FC Bayern soccer pros. Sponsor Audi will provide the Bundesliga stars with new company cars. And therein lies an opportunity for the fans of the record champions.
The players will be equipped with electric cars by the sponsor and could choose from four different models. They can charge the cars right away at their workplace: 38 charging stations are installed at the Munich training ground on Säbener Strasse, and more than 20 more at the Allianz Arena. The company cars that Bayern players used to travel with can now be purchased by fans. First of all, the used cars will be refurbished and their residual value will be estimated, Audi said. During the International Motor Show IAA in Munich, which begins on September 5, interested parties can submit a reservation request for the used cars.

However, if you want to get hold of one of the cars, you have to be quick: the cars are assigned on a “first come, first serve” basis. And they certainly shouldn’t be cheap either. Die-hard Bayern fans could still find the offer attractive – after all, there is a certificate of authenticity and a shirt signed by the previous owner.
In 2010/11, Audi acquired shares worth 90 million euros in FC Bayern in three steps. The car group owns 8.33 percent of FC Bayern Munich AG, as well as Adidas and Allianz.
