More transparency in football, a business worth millions? Sven Mislintat would welcome that. If the ex-Bundesliga official has his way, all numbers will be on the table in the future.
The longtime Bundesliga functionary Sven Mislintat pleads for a more open handling of transfer fees in professional football. “I would be there,” said the 50-year-old, who is now technical director of the Dutch record champions Ajax Amsterdam, the German Press Agency.
“Furthermore, I would have absolutely no objection to publishing all payments, not just transfer fees, but also all salaries, commissions, investments,” Mislintat said. “Then you could evaluate the sporting performance on the pitch and in management based on the financial possibilities.”
Sports director Max Eberl from DFB Cup winner RB Leipzig recently spoke out in favor of making transfer fees even more transparent in the future. In the future, this discussion should be conducted on a broad level, Eberl told the “Süddeutsche Zeitung”.
At this point mislintat is already inevitable. “We also do that with Ajax Amsterdam if the transfer exceeds five million because we are listed on the stock exchange,” explained the former Borussia Dortmund scout and sports director of VfB Stuttgart.
