Manchester City are rushing to their next Premier League win. Tottenham Hotspur also remains on the road to success after the departure of Harry Kane. At Chelsea, on the other hand, it’s not going at all.
Defending champions Manchester City have continued their successful start to the new football season. Coach Pep Guardiola’s team won 5-1 (2-1) against Fulham FC and thus also their fourth league game this season.
Argentina’s world champion Julián Álvarez (31st minute), Nathan Aké (45’+5′) and three goals from Erling Haaland (59’/70’/penalty/90’+5) ensured the victory for the league leaders. Tim Ream (33rd) managed to equalize for the visitors, where João Palhinha was missing from the squad after his failed move to Bayern Munich.
Tottenham strong – Chelsea fail
Tottenham Hotspur also remain undefeated in the Premier League after Harry Kane left. The club from London prevailed against promoted FC Burnley 5: 2 (2: 1). A hat-trick by the outstanding Heung-min Son (16’/63’/66′) and goals from Cristian Romero (45’+2′) and James Maddison (54′) ensured the Spurs’ confident victory. Lyle Foster (4th) gave Burnley an early lead, Josh Brownhill (90th + 4) only managed to catch up.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are not gaining momentum and remained without a win for the third game in a row. The team of new coach Mauricio Pochettino lost 0-1 (0-1) against Nottingham Forest. Anthony Elanga (48th) scored the goal for the guests.
