Leonel Pernía, Renault driver, won today the second final of the TC2000 at the 9 de Julio racetrack for the ninth round of the season and moves away from his pursuers in the championship standings.
Pernia achieved a key victory in a resounding manner and established itself in first position, followed by Julian Santero (Toyota) and Bernardo Llaver (Honda), who won the first final of the day.
The first ten places were completed by José Di Palma (Fiat), Facundo Ardusso (Honda), Facundo Marques (Renault), Mariano Pernía (Renault), Javier Scuncio Moro (Honda), Marcelo Ciarrocchi (Fiat) and Franco Vivian (Chevrolet).
“I congratulate the entire team, we knew how to read the situation well and we reacted to have a strong car to continue in an incredible year. I am very happy for everything. The key was as always, the technical capacity of the team. There is still a long way to go before the definition and there are very important races ahead.”said Pernía after celebrating his Sunday results.
This way, Pernía achieved his 32nd victory in the category and is third in the history of TC2000 victories along with Matías Rossi and Juan María Traverso.
“It was a great weekend. In the second race I had a very good pace in the first laps but then I crashed a lot”said Llaver.
In the first race, meanwhile, they were behind Facundo Aldrighetti Keychain (Toyota) and own Leonel Perniafollowed by Santero, Di Palma, Scuncio Moro, Mariano Pernía, Ignacio Montenegro (Renault), Vivian and Marques.
The next date will be the 200 Kilometers of Buenos Aires on October 8 at the Autódromo Oscar y Juan Gálvez.
