USV Neuhofen started the new District League South season with a maximum of nine points from three games. A well-known man on the sidelines has recently been jointly responsible for this: ex-Ried professional and sports director Thomas Reifeltshammer has been part of the Neuhofen coaching trio together with Heinz Etzlinger and Markus Friedwagner since the summer. “We are pleased to have Thomas as head coach on the team. Because of his great experience, we can all benefit from his commitment,” says Neuhofen’s sports director Daniel Peer.
“As long as I have time and resources, I’m happy to help. I played football here in my youth, now I want to give something back to the club. But I’m not in the front row,” says Reifeltshammer, who also plays at Neuhofen a family member is active: brother Michael is the Innviertler’s top scorer.
Is coaching an alternative for the former Bundesliga official? “I can gain my first experiences here and keep all options open.”
