“Death threat, really?! You’re making me fucking sick.”
With these words, Tamira Paszek comments on a death threat she received on social media. The Vorarlberg tennis player doesn’t want to put up with the news and posts a screenshot of the dialogue including the crazy man’s real name in her Instagram story.
The user, whose name we have obscured in the photo above, initially asks why Paszek always loses when he bets on her. The man quickly begins to threaten her life: “I swear to you, you will die soon.”
(The translation is free as the user’s English is rudimentary. The literal message is nevertheless clear: “i mean – you will force me – to find and take you down – from this life – i swear we will – tamira – dies – really soon”)
It is not the first time that tennis professionals – preferably female players – have reported being confronted with hate online. The 32-year-old is apparently proceeding quite aggressively with this.
