Max Verstappen could take his penultimate step towards defending his world title at the Grand Prix in Singapore on Sunday.
The Dutchman was one of the fastest in the first free practice session on Friday. 20 minutes before the end of the session, the world champion drove the second fastest lap behind Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) before an animal visitor took a breather:
A monitor lizard has strayed onto the track, which is why there are yellow flag signals to the drivers. The lizard doesn’t seem to be really stressed by the passing cars, as the video images (below) show. After the animal left the race track, the training could continue:
