Borussia Dortmund has prevented another setback in the Bundesliga. The Revierclub won 4-2 (1-2) at SC Freiburg on Saturday and turned a deficit at half-time to their second win of the season. RB Leipzig reduced the gap to league leaders Bayer Leverkusen and FC Bayern Munich to one point with a 3-0 (3-0) win against FC Augsburg on matchday four.
Like Leipzig, VfB Stuttgart, TSG Hoffenheim and VfL Wolfsburg also celebrated their third wins of the season. Wolfsburg defeated 1. FC Union Berlin 2:1 (2:1). Hoffenheim compounded 1. FC Köln’s misery with a 3-1 (2-0) away win. Stuttgart won 3-1 (0-0) against 1. FSV Mainz 05, who were also in crisis.
1. FC Heidenheim is hoping for its first win of the season against Werder Bremen, also to avoid getting stuck in the relegation battle early on. Newly promoted SV Darmstadt is already there and does not yet have a point in its account. Opponent Borussia Mönchengladbach is hardly doing any better with one point.
These are the next games:
On Sunday:
1. FC Heidenheim – SV Werder Bremen (3:30 p.m.)
SV Darmstadt 98 – Borussia Mönchengladbach (5.30 p.m.)
