On date 1 of group D of the UEFA Champions League – 2023-2024 tournament, RB Salzburg wins against Benfica by two goals. The goals for the visitor were scored by Roko Simic (14′ 1T, penalty) and Oscar Gloukh (5′ 2T).

On the next matchday, Benfica will face Inter as a visitor, while RB Salzburgo will play as a visitor against Real Sociedad.
