FC Blau-Weiß Linz will be taking on practically an entire federal state in tomorrow’s second round of the ÖFB Cup: third division team ASV Draßburg (6.30 p.m.) is the last representative of Burgenland in the cup. Even though the club is currently in second-to-last place in the Regionalliga East, BW coach Gerald Scheiblehner warns: “You are in a similar situation to the one we were in a few weeks ago. You have nothing to lose.”

Actually, a game against a Bundesliga team should be a real highlight for every amateur club – but not so for the Burgenlanders, as Scheiblehner smugly notes: “They were almost a bit annoyed that they didn’t get a good draw. But at least they have to play against us Don’t move to a larger stadium.”

There will be changes in his team today: “Those who haven’t played that much recently should also get playing time. But too many changes aren’t good either, we want to get as far as possible in the cup.”

There has to be one change: regular goalkeeper Nicolas Schmid is ill, substitute Andreas Lukse is out with a knee injury. Kevin Radulovic and Felix Gschussmann are the possible alternatives – the former, who most recently also played as a cooperation player for the Upper Austrian regional league team SPG Wallern/St. Marienkirchen was used, should be preferred.
