FC Bayern: Four more players have to be quarantined

Four other Bayern Munich players have to be quarantined. The association announces this. Serge Gnabry, Jamal Musiala, Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting and Michael Cuisance have therefore gone into quarantine in consultation with the responsible health authorities. They had contact with a person in the immediate vicinity of the FC Bayern team who had tested positive for the corona virus, the statement said.

The fourth wave racing through the country does not avoid the Bayern staff. The vaccinated defenders Niklas Süle and Josip Stanisic have tested positive for the corona virus. Avoidable quarantine consequences for unvaccinated colleagues meanwhile offer great potential for excitement.

FC Bayern is said to have decided on harsh consequences

According to the “Bild am Sonntag”, the Bayern bosses around Oliver Kahn are now said to have decided “tough consequences”. Kimmich, Serge Gnabry, Jamal Musiala and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, who were sent into domestic isolation as contact persons, should forego part of the lavish salaries for the downtime. The association has not yet issued an opinion on the report.

“If what the Bild-Zeitung reports is correct, it is certainly to be understood as a sign that the club is now reacting,” said former Bayern boss Karl-Heinz Rummenigge at “Sky90” on Sunday. “He won’t like that,” remarked Rummenigge about Kimmich’s reaction.

Joshua Kimmich remains in quarantine

Kimmich has been out of his training and competition rhythm for two weeks now. He is also absent from Dynamo Kiev’s Champions League on Tuesday.

His Bayern colleague Niklas Süle was infected with the corona virus on November 8th. He had just returned from quarantine earlier this week. Most recently, Josip Stanisic, team manager Bastian Wernscheid and another member of the staff tested positive for the corona virus.
