LASK stood in its own way for a long time, but Felix Luckeneder gave the athletes the lead in the 8th minute: He deflected a free kick from Sascha Horvath into the goal with his heel.

Coach Thomas Sageder, who came directly from the Pro License coaching course in Faak am See, gave goalkeeper Tobias Lawal, defense chief Andres Andrade and captain Robert Zulj breaks. During the game, the athletes alternated between “too complicated” and “too imprecise” given the many opportunities.

But it was never a shaky game like last year, when LASK fought their way to 4-1 in extra time in Imst after trailing with ten men. The match was decided by substitute Thomas Goiginger’s converted penalty (71′), Leipzig loanee Sanoussy Ba added his first goal for LASK – 3-0 (85′).
