REED. What would have happened if SV Guntamatic Ried had also competed in the ÖFB Cup against Wolfsberg (1:2) with yesterday’s starting eleven? Coach Max Senft’s team presented itself really well in the 5-0 win against SV Horn – and remains a force in the 2nd football league in the local Innviertel Arena: The success against the Waldviertler was the third win in the fourth home game.
The Innviertel team started like a raid: after just one minute, new signing Wilfried Eza tested guest goalie Nikolas Polster with a header. It continued in this key. Eza once again missed the best chance: the 26-year-old came completely free to finish in the penalty area (10th), but narrowly missed. A defender, Nikki Havenaar, did better in the 19th minute: The Japanese headed in after a corner to make it 1-0. Three minutes later, the Vikings extended their lead: Fabian Wohlmuth served Mark Grosse ideally – 2-0.
Then the Vikings switched to administration mode – the next highlight didn’t come until after an hour: another defender, Oliver Steurer, scored after a corner (59th). In the finish, Grosse (77′) and Belmin Beganovic (83′) added more goals – and Ried could have won even more.
