The La Plata Racecourse will be the scene this Sunday of the Eusonio Boni Classic, a test reserved for three-year-old fillies with a prize of 1,808,950 pesos and a development of 1,100 meters of sand, and there will also be nine other races in the Buenos Aires city of Blue.
In La Plata there will be five fillies registered in the gates that will start at 4:30 p.m. and a program of 11 races from 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The favorite is Celestial Filly, a daughter of Lizard Island who is in the hands of the very good trainer from La Plata, Angel Piana. Her jockey will be Miguel Angel Sosa and she defends the colors of the Tinta Roja stud.
Celestial Filly has a record of seven official wins out of nine races. She comes second, two lengths behind Rosas del Rosedal in 1m 13s 64/100 for the 1,200 meters.
Key Tower is a dangerous enemy for the favorite. She is a daughter of Il Campione and will have the rider Francisco Arreguy (h) in her saddle. Her campaign indicates two official victories out of a total of eight competitions.
The other three registered are Keira – a pupil of the caretaker Carlos Daniel Etchechoury -, Winning Wind, who will be ridden by the young rider Gonzalo Borda, and Silver Wave, a defender of the Tres Jotas stud.
At 1:45 p.m. on the same Sunday, the program will begin at the Azul Hippodrome with nine competitions.
In the seventh round, the Bartolomé Ronco Classic will be run over 1,800 meters of sand with a prize of 1,200,000 pesos.
There are 13 horses registered in the starters and Fennan Boy stands out, a son of Asiatic Boy who will be ridden by the very good jockey Facundo Coria.
