Big stage for 46 young champions

Admira Linz was able to celebrate three titles.

Last Wednesday, the little ones were on the big stage: almost 1,000 young footballers from the 46 Upper Austrian youth champions from the previous season were welcomed by the state governor in PlusCity Thomas Stelzer and Upper Austrian association president Gerhard Götschhofer honored. “You are the guarantee that Upper Austrian football will continue to be successful in the future,” says Stelzer. OÖFV boss Götschhofer: “Since there can often be painful defeats in football, it is all the more important to celebrate great successes appropriately. We are therefore pleased that the association can hold the championship ceremony in a great setting thanks to the support of PlusCity This day will be remembered positively by the numerous talents for a long time.” Two teams from Linz won three titles: the youngsters from Bundesliga team FC Blau-Weiß Linz triumphed in the U13, U16 and U18 competitions, while state league team Admira also won three championship plates (U15, U16, U18).

To get you in the mood, a varied supporting program was offered. In addition to a football cage, there was a goal wall shootout and the chance to win prizes on the PlusCity Wheel of Fortune. The young master footballers were also able to get autographs from LASK professionals René RennerBlue and White Linz captain Luke Tursch or Rieds Philip Pomer be happy.
