For defending champions Oberbank Steelvolleys Linz/Steg, the league match on Saturday against Bisamberg-Hollabrunn (6.30 p.m.) will not only be an atmospheric home premiere, but also a European Cup dress rehearsal. On Wednesday the Slovakian representative Trnava is coming to Kleinmünchen for the Challenge Cup first leg.
“There are intensive weeks ahead of us,” said coach Facundo Morando: “I think that this phase will help us to grow even closer together.” There is nothing to shake their role as favorites against Bisamberg-Hollabrunn; last season, Linz/Steg remained without losing a set in both duels.
