The current champion River Platestrengthened by their away victory over Boca Juniors in last night’s Superclásico, he won this Sunday against Talleres de Córdoba and increased the local streak.
With a goal from Venezuelan Salomón Rondón in the first half, the team led by Martín Demichelis won four of the last five games played and has 15 consecutive wins at El Monumental. On the other hand, Talleres triumphed in just one of the last five games they played.
At 19 minutes of the first half, after coming out playing on a corner kick, Milton Casco crossed far past the Talleres area and Chilean Paulo Díaz managed to head it down.
Rondón was well positioned and deflected the ball with some luck for the provisional 1-0.
For the complement, Talleres came out much better in the complement and was even able to equalize the actions on two occasions, one with a shot by Rodrigo Garro that Francio Armani sent to the corner kick and another shot by Ramón Sosa that hit the post and saved the world champion archer.
