The Argentine tennis player Pedro Cachín was eliminated from the Shenzhen Challenger, in China, after losing today in the semifinals with the American Aleksandar Kovacevic by 6-4 and 7-6 (9-7).

Cachín, born in Bell Ville, Córdoba, and ranked 71st in the ATP world ranking, lost to Kovacevic (146) after one hour and 35 minutes of play, and said goodbye to the tournament.

The American will play the final in the early hours of Sunday against the Portuguese Nuno Borges (85), who won the other semifinal comfortably against the Russian Egor Gerasimov (503) by 6-2 and 6-1.

The Shenzhen Challenger is played on a fast surface, will distribute $130,000 in prizes and was left without the two top favorites for the title, the Australian Thanasi Kokkinakis (69), eliminated in the round of 16, and the Cachín from Cordoba, in the semifinals.
