“We are going to live up to what we are playing for,” says “Sapito” Coleoni, coach of San Miguel

Gustavo Coleoni, coach of San Miguel, highlighted “the great sporting year that the team has been demonstrating”, and highlighted that against Talleres de Remedios de Escalada, for the first leg to be promoted to the First National, “all the players will be at the height of what is at stake and the enthusiasm of the people”.

The coach from Cordoba, 55 years old, was “very satisfied” with San Miguel’s first place in the annual table, where he added 60 points, won the Apertura tournament title (30) and reached the same amount in Clausura to qualify in second place, a consistency that was not enough to win it and achieve direct promotion, since Talleres added 37 (58 overall) and took first place.

“We reached these finals well, which both teams deserve because they have been the best throughout the year. We come from a free date, we were able to recover some players and there is no risk of sanctions for yellow cards. We are focused on two games that They will be very tough, since we will face a rival who only scored two goals in 15 games, and that speaks very well of them,” Coleoni said in conversation with Télam.

The coach, who led Central Córdoba of Santiago del Estero in the First Division after winning promotion with the “railroad team”, has experience in “taming the anxiety” that the fans transmit in these circumstances: “Everything in San Miguel pushes to achieve the goal that we set ourselves, but our task is to work calmly and manage it with our ideas, so that the players can play calmly and focused.
