Jacqueline Seifriedsberger from SC Waldzell was unbeatable at the Austrian ski jumping championships on the normal hill in Hinzenbach. The 32-year-old from Schildorn, who had already won gold at the European Games in Zakopane this year, prevailed in the absence of Austria’s athlete of the year, Eva Pinkelnig.
Seifriedsberger won her home game with distances of 77 and 81.5 meters ahead of Sara Marita Kramer (82/78 m), who was still in the lead after the first round. Bronze went to Lisa Eder, who celebrated a comeback after a 15-month injury break. “It was a cool competition, although I’m certainly not at 100 percent yet. A lot has progressed,” said Seifriedsberger.
As before, Daniel Tschofenig had the upper hand among the men on the big Bakken. Local hero Michael Hayböck (UVB Hinzenbach) did not appear.
