When do the Pan American Games start?

There will also be places in handball (places for champions); field hockey (places will be for the two champions); artistic swimming (one place for the best team and another for the best duo); modern pentathlon; surfing (for champions): tennis (finalists in each branch); table tennis (finalists in mixed doubles); shooting (champions of each event); archery (best placed mixed team and two best individuals in both branches); sailing windsurfing and water polo.

Santiago de Chile will host the Pan American Games for the first time, which during the 17 days of competition will distribute a total of 2,986 medals: 947 gold, 947 silver and 1,092 bronze. The largest sporting event in America will have the support of more than 17,000 volunteers.
