“Yes, that’s how it is. But we never kept our love secret,” said Ribom in the Swedish newspaper “Expressen”. The first time it happened last winter, after the season we went to Schoonmaker in Alaska. “It was nice to spend the summer with him,” says the 25-year-old, giving private insights.
And recently the Jack of Hearts was in Sweden, training there with his team. “I enjoyed being able to present my country to him,” and they also spent a lot of time together in Sweden.

As a sprint specialist, Ribom won twice in the last World Cup winter. On top of that, she won a complete set of medals (gold in the team sprint, silver in the sprint, bronze in the 4×5 kilometers) at the Nordic World Championships in Planica. For her lover, however, seventh place was the best result of the season.
