The Argentine men’s field hockey team, Los Leones, beat its Chilean team, the local team, 3-1, for the second date of Group A of the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games.
In this way, the albiceleste team secured a place in the semifinals, by accumulating two consecutive wins.
At the Hockey Sports Center in the Chilean capital, forwards Maico Casella and Tomás Dómene, in duplicate, scored to give Los Leones the victory. All the goals came after two penalty corners. Midfielder Agustín Bugallo was injured at the end of the game.
After the victory against Mexico (10-1) and Chile (3-1), the Albicelestes secured their place in the semifinals of the tournament, which reserves qualification for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games for the team that wins the title.
