In the Grandstand of the National Tennis Center, Daireaux from Buenos Aires secured her victory in the fourth match point and guaranteed at least the silver medal.

Carlé, 23 years old, will seek the gold medal with the winner of the match between his compatriot Julia Riera and the Brazilian Laura Pigossi.
The Argentine reached the last match of the women’s individual table after successively beating the Uruguayan Taly Licht, the Chilean Fernanda Labraña, the Brazilian Carolina Meligeni and Marino.
“It is a very great emotion, a huge joy, a mix of sensations due to all the effort I have made since I was a child. Being able to be in an Olympic Games is going to be incredible,” she confessed to TyC Sports about her Olympic classification.
Carlé will go this afternoon for a new chance at a medal as a couple with Riera when they face the Chileans Alexa Guarachi-Labraña in the decisive game for the bronze.
