So far, the Linz tennis tournament, which was held in February this year, was in the 250 category.
The more world ranking points that are up for grabs in Linz make it more attractive for top players.
In the most recent edition, the tournament paid out prize money of around $260,000. Next year the tournament will take place from January 28th to February 4th at the Linz Design Center and will pay out around one million dollars.
