Kenan Karaman will play in the Turkish Süper Lig. The 25-time international has signed with Besiktas in Istanbul.

Center forward Kenan Karaman has found a new club. The 27-year-old, whose contract with second division Fortuna Düsseldorf expired on June 30, is moving to Besiktas for free. The Turkish top club officially announced this on Thursday.

In Istanbul, Karaman has signed a three-year contract until 2024. “We welcome Kenan Karaman, who we believe will be of great service to our club, and we wish him every success,” writes Besiktas in his press release.

Kenan Karaman: Besiktas the first professional station outside of Germany

For Karaman, who has played 25 times for Turkey and was last in the squad at the European Championships, it is the first professional station outside of Germany. To date, the Stuttgart native had run for TSG Hoffenheim, Hannover 96 and, since 2018, for Düsseldorf.

Last season Karaman scored seven goals and two assists in 28 second division appearances for Fortuna.
