On December 9, 2018, River Plate defeated Boca Juniors in overtime, 3 to 1, at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium in Madrid, and won its fourth Copa Libertadores. Lucas Pratto, Juan Fernando Quintero and Gonzalo Martínez reversed the result, after the goal scored by Darío Benedetto for Boca.
In the first leg, the Superclásico finished 2-2 in La Bombonera. The rematch was moved to the Real Madrid stadium due to the incidents caused outside the Monumental with attacks on the bus that transported the Xeneize delegation.
The price of tickets for “Close your eyes, the eternal final” will start at 6 thousand pesos.
